Pediatric IR Suite Renovation
URMC | Golisano Children's Hospital
The Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center saw a growing need for a dedicated on-site Pediatric Interventional Radiology Suite.
The Owner determined that an existing CT room would be repurposed and renovated to accommodate this need. Working with the Owner and Users, Dwyer developed a design that improved circulation within the suite by opening up the existing nurse station for immediate access to both the existing patient bays as well as the new pre/post beds and class III imaging room. The resulting layout works to increase the staff efficiency and patient care functionality of the suite by providing the facility with the necessary new imaging equipment in a work environment with improved spatial adjacencies.
The suite will have a lasting impact on the community, allowing Golisano Children’s Hospital to offer advance care to their pediatric patients. Ensuring they are able to
receive treatment close to home.
