Bridging Architect for Design Build
Residence Hall

DASNY/SUNY Brockport, Eagle Hall | Brockport, NY

Dwyer’s reputation as a successful Bridging Architect at the University
of Rochester brought us to the table to join Trudeau Architects and
DASNY to establish the criteria for a new 250-bed Residence Hall for
SUNY Brockport. Through the bridging document process, Dwyer
worked closely with Residential Life and facilities staff to create standards
for all future residence hall projects on the Brockport campus, which
included only products and finishes that had a proven track record for
durability and aesthetic quality.

As the Bridging Architect we met with over 20 departments to create the
conceptual design for this new 79,000 gsf building to develop the Bridging
Documents that were used for bidding to several Design-Build teams.
This was a very positive experience for all involved and Dwyer was
hired to continue with the project to oversee the implementation of the
Bridging Documents with the design-build team and represent the
interests of the Campus.

The success of this project has led to several other projects for

Dwyer with DASNY under our term agreement and at SUNY Brockport.
