New Additions to our Leadership Team!

Dwyer Architectural, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of: Sara DeSalvo, AIA, Matthew Leak, RA, Cassie Raymond, NCIDQ, WELL AP, and Izzy Straub, AIA to Associate Principal.

 

These four individuals are a strong group of seasoned architects and designers who are passionate about leading our firm into our next chapter and continuing to shape the future simply by doing what they love. They share the passion to improve our communities through architecture and demonstrate a commitment to our success and the achievements of our firm.

Sara DeSalvo, AIA

Sara joined Dwyer Architectural’s Rochester office in 2019 with over 20 years of professional design experience. Sara has been a registered Architect in New York since 2017 and is currently serving on the AIA Rochester board of directors as the 2024 Vice President.

Sara received the 2022 AIA Rochester Emerging Architect of the Year Award. Sara currently serves on the Alfred State Advisory Board, continuing to mentor architecture students and go to critiques at her alma mater. She is a leader within our firm, dedicated to our success and the happiness of her coworkers. In Sara’s free time she enjoys 

reading, going for walks with her husband and their 

3 dachshunds, and cheering on the Bills come football season!

Matthew Leak, RA

Matt joined Dwyer Architectural’s Syracuse office in 2019 with over 30 years of professional design experience in K-12, healthcare and higher education. Matt has been a registered Architect in New York State since 1998. Since joining Dwyer Matt has worked on a variety of healthcare and higher education projects, leading projects from design through construction. Matt is a demonstrated team leader and mentor to his colleagues. In Matt’s free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as playing guitar and seeing live music.

Cassie Raymond, NCIDQ, WELL AP

Cassie joined Dwyer Architectural’s Syracuse office in 2021, bringing with her 17 years of professional experience in interior design, earning her NCIDQ certification in 2014 and her WELL AP certification in 2021. Cassie is a proven leader, guiding teams and clients through every phase of design and construction. Her passion for working with people and her dedication to creating elegant,

client-focused design solutions shine through in her work. Cassie is especially committed to designing interior spaces that enhance human health and wellness in educational and healthcare environments. In her free time, Cassie enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Izzy Straub, AIA

Izzy joined Dwyer Architectural’s Rochester office in 2020.

Her 12 years of professional design experience is comprised of a wide variety of project types including healthcare, higher education, laboratories, hospitality, and retail. Izzy has been a registered Architect in New York since 2016, and an AIA member since 2021.

She continues to be a mentor to not only our staff but is also involved with RIT’s mentor/mentee program, helping guide the next generation of architects. Izzy is an asset to our team from design through construction as her knowledge on site ensures that progress continues, assisting contractors in problem solving when challenges occur.

In Izzy’s free time she enjoys going on long walks with her dog.

I love the people I work with. I am excited for the opportunity to help Dwyer grow.
